1987 was a trademark year in gaming. With the release of the Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, Contra, Castlevania, Mega Man, and Metal Gear the gaming industry was booming with revolutionary new ideas. Lucky for them on August 14th, at a hospital in Manhattan, New York an infant who's birth was prophisized for generations by world renowned Tibetan monks, Egyptian scribes, Greek philosophers and African witch doctors was brought into the world. Known as the child who would lead the world into an era of mass turmoil, dark fiery hell storms or endless imaginative creation and happy magical rainbow clouds, I forget which one it was. The child would be named Bryan Rodriguez, and so it was shouted from the mountain tops, as the world was informed to the glorious child's birth into thier world, bracing themselves for what wonders were to come. Now that we've thoroughly polished Bryan's ego, as directed, I shall continue with his story...

Bryan grew up in the small suburban town of Baldwin, New York in a house with a giant yard and tall trees just begging for exploration. At a young age Bryan was taught the importance of working with his hands, his mind and his imagination from both his father who was the definition of ingenuity, skilled in what it seemed to be almost everything and anything when it came to either creating a magnet out of coiled wire, building new gadgets to help out around the house or repairing almost everything that happened to break, in his basement workshop, and his mother who through constantly uplifting him, helped push him to explore new boundaries in nature, art, technology and the pursuit of any and all of his future dreams and goals no matter how unreachable they may seem. Growing up in such a lenient and creative environment Bryan was able to harness his imagination at an early stage, turning his basement into a sort of individual's hideaway where he could paint, sculpt, draw, examine and prod at his countless animals, and of course, later on game his nights away. Inspired and influenced at a young age by all things scientific, unique and artistic; human anatomy, insect and animal life, claymation and children's animated cartoon blocks. It drove Bryan to want to create and imitate what he was so involved in. Luckily he was about to be introduced to the biggest influence in his life to this day, thanks to his mother who used to babysit his cousin's when she was younger and needed to buy them something to shut them up, Bryan received his first video game hand-me-down console, the wondrous Atari 2600.
This magical device that was by far the best hand-me-down ever given to anyone in the history of the world, occupied most of Bryan's life. Trying to master every pixel of every game played (considering there were about 200 pixels per game) became a mission in his life, and it was just the beginning. As time went on Bryan acquired his first Nintendo Entertainment System, which he played endlessly in his basement hideaway with his dad and cousin Joe. His new obsession because a lifestyle for him, leading him to the Sega Genesis, Game Boy, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64 and so on. Not any console could escape his grasp. Weeks and months were filled with bike rides to his cousin Joe's house where he had a personal computer which Bryan's family didn't have the ability to buy until about 1998. Huddled in the computer room with his cousin, he was slowly discovering a new meaning of life. Joe had introduced Bryan to a way to create his own games, by using a program called Klik & Play, blowing Bryan's brains against the wall in excitement and in 1996 the two best friend's decided to start a game designing team. At this point in his life his days were filled with gaming and grammar school. He'd dream games, wake up surrounded by game cartridges, go to school to talk about games, spend his lunch break designing games with Joe, go home and play games until it was time to dream up new ideas again. Their misadventures had begun at an early age and were about to continue.
As they grew older they also grew more skilled in design - leaving the older, more primitive software to move up to The Games Factory. Months passed as they worked on many games together, constantly thinking of new ideas, characters and back stories for future game ideas. They had bigger things in mind, thier own game design company. As time progressed Bryan and Joe made friends with various other artists and designers and formed a game developing company under the name Hyperactive Productions in which they both ran with iron fists of creative wrath. The only problem was thier lack in industry experience and schooling which stunted a lot of their ability to produce games of immense quality. Many games later they decided to put Hyperactive into a space capsule, sending it into space where it would revolve around Earth until they were ready to blow the gaming industry's ass apart.

Years later when the boys grew older, they became more interested in expansion and furthering their game developing and design education. Bryan gamed his way through high school and wanted to further his artistic side, so during his junior and senior years of high school he attended Barry Career Technical school for a completer's degree in Graphic Design. After graduating from both Baldwin Senior High school & Graphic Design school, Bryan found his way to Winter Park, Florida where he attended Fullsail Real World Education and obtained a degree in Computer Animation in 2007. He figured if he wanted to make games in the future he had to start with the developing end of the process, learning how to work on conceptual designs, pre-production and story boards, sculpt maquettes, model and animate 3-D in Maya, paint high detailed textures, rendering, and add visual effects through compositing. His stay there taught him how to work along side a full design team cooperating to make something great as well as his ability to meet a variety of people to network with in the future. The experiences he had lead him to be able to create and direct his own zombie short movie, a variety of sculptures and a creative animated 3-D poly demo reel. It was an experience he will never forget.
Now the recent graduate of Fullsail, Bryan is ready for the real world. Over the years he has become a well-rounded artist and designer, who is capable of harnessing the magical power of many different artistic mediums - traditional and digital. His imagination motivates him to continually create new ideas for games, dynamic characters, stories and animated shorts. With his advanced training in graphic design, computer animation and game design he is ready to make his mark in the industry.
As of right now Bryan and Joe's hibernating genius known as Hyperactive Productions is hidden away in the depths of the earth waiting for it's creator's to be ready to blow it up into a world renowned game developing company. Until then he will continue striving, networking, creating and moving up throughout the industry he was born to be a part of.
